Scholar in India Challenge
22nd July 2013

Robert Masnica, for ten years a chorister and choral scholar at All Saints, will leave the UK in September to spend three months living in the most basic conditions in Myore village in India, where he will help to build sanitation units, schools and homes in the poorest areas. Robert is undertaking the trip with Raleigh International, a charity that has had links with Myore since 2006.

The teenager, who is currently on a gap year after completing a CILEx (Chartered Institute for Legal Executives) course at Northampton College,

needs to raise £800 to enable him to take part in the trip. To help him reach his target Robert has been collecting money with buckets and door-to-door collections, and will be taking part in a bike ride from Northampton to London on Wednesday 4 September. He said “I want to show people how easy it is to help others in this way. It will also be a great life lesson that I expect to learn a lot from.”

On returning from India Robert will take part in an Action at Home project with Raleigh International, giving talks in the community to raise awareness for the charity and its work.

Please support Robert by clicking here, by e-mailing rom1993@hotmail.co.uk or by calling 07718 090793.
