Jem Lowther
Director of Music
Jem Lowther was raised in Northamptonshire and took his first organ lessons at All Saints' aged just eleven. Educated as a Music Scholar at Eton College, Jem then spent his gap-year working as an organist in Washington D.C. and New York City. He then took up an Organ Scholarship at Corpus Christi College Oxford, where he graduated with a first-class degree in Music.

Jem took up the position of Director of Music in September 2015. Since his appointment he and has built on the excellent work of his predecessors, raising both the choir and the music programme to new heights, and overseeing the restoration of the organs.

Outside of All Saints', Jem is also a Musician in Residence with the David Ross Educational Trust, and the répétiteur for the Northampton Bach Choir. Jem is a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists and holds a ABRSM diploma in solo piano performance. Contact Jem
Laurence Caldecote
Assistant Organist
Laurence was born and raised in the Home Counties, starting piano lessons age four, cello lessons age nine, and organ lessons age eleven. He held his first organist post the following year. Laurence studied at Coventry University, from where he graduated with a BA (Hons) in Music Composition and Professional Practice.

Laurence was appointed Assistant Organist at All Saints', Northampton in January 2018, having deputised regularly since December 2016. His role is to accompany the choirs for rehearsals and services, as well as visits in the UK, and the choir tour abroad. Laurence's specialism is improvisation, which is put to good use in the Sunday and weekday services, as well as the many and varied Civic services throughout the year.

An active recitalist, he has played venues in the UK, Norway and the USA. He is also an accomplished pianist as well as an active and published composer. Outside of All Saints', he is one of the accompanists for The Alleyn Singers and Lyra Davidica, both UK-based choirs, and is also a qualified Piano Technician. Contact Laurence
Jessica Johnson
Singing Teacher
Jessica started her musical life in Northamptonshire as a girl chorister at All Saints'. She was Head Chorister in 2009 and a finalist in BBC Radio 2 Young Chorister of the Year in 2008. Jessica read Music at Royal Holloway, University of London, where she was awarded scholarships with the Chapel Choir, St Martin in the Fields, and The Sixteen's training scheme, Genesis Sixteen. She was then awarded a scholarship to study a Masters in Music degree at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating with Distinction in 2020.

Jessica has sung in many of the UK's top venues and alongside artists such as The Kings Singers, Dame Felicity Lott, Dame Emma Kirkby, and Alison Balsom OBE. She has also sung live on BBC radio, on the televised BBC Proms series, and recorded on numerous discs including as a soloist on the album Hymn to St Cecilia.

Jessica has directed several Northamptonshire adult and youth choirs, including the Northampton General Hospital Choir. Through this work, she raised money for local and national charities, including the Northampton General Hospital in a special 70th Anniversary concert for the NHS. Contact Jessica
