Laurence was born and raised in the Home Counties, starting piano lessons age four, cello lessons age nine, and organ lessons age eleven.
He held his first organist post the following year. Laurence studied at Coventry University, from where he graduated with a BA (Hons) in Music Composition and
Professional Practice.
Laurence was appointed Assistant Organist at All Saints', Northampton in January 2018, having deputised regularly since December 2016. His role is to accompany
the choirs for rehearsals and services, as well as visits in the UK, and the choir tour abroad. Laurence's specialism is improvisation, which is put to good use
in the Sunday and weekday services, as well as the many and varied Civic services throughout the year.
An active recitalist, he has played venues in the UK, Norway and the USA. He is also an accomplished pianist as well as an active and published composer. Outside
of All Saints', he is one of the accompanists for The Alleyn Singers and Lyra Davidica, both UK-based choirs, and is also a qualified Piano Technician.
